La Malle plant to use biomass to reduce sulphur emissions

IKN commissions Matres-Tolosane clinker cooler

An IKN Pendulum Cooler ® successfully started operation early this year at Martres-Tolosane cement plant in France.   IKN commissioned a 2500tpd cooler for a new production line at the Lafarge France ( Holcim group ) plant. Designed for use of up to 85 per cent alternative fuel, IKN’s clinker cooler reflects is equipped with a most modern single grate drive – dynamic linear drive (DLD), roll crusher with three rolls at the cooler end as well as a bypass.

Lafarge France invests EUR46m to reduce carbon emissions

To produce cements with a reduced carbon impact in its plants in Saint-Pierre-la-Cour (Mayenne) and Bouc-Bel-Air (Bouches-du-Rhône), Lafarge France (Holcim group) will invest EUR46m. These investments are part of the group-wide strategy to accelerate green growth. By 2025, 25 per cent of sales of ready-to-use concrete will have to come from the ‘EcoPAct’ range, launched three years ago around so-called ‘low-carbon’ products.

Lafarge France to modernise Martres-Tolosane unit

Lafarge France will invest EUR100m in the modernisation of its cement plant at Martres-Tolosane in Haute-Garonne, France. The company is currently selecting a contractor to carry out the work, which is scheduled to start at the end of the year. Bénédicte de Bonnechose is Lafarge France’s new MD

Bénédicte de Bonnechose is Lafarge France’s new managing director, following in the footsteps of Pascal Casanova, who moves to the LafargeHolcim Executive Committee. Since 1993, she has led a varied career with Lafarge, fullfilling a multitude of roles, including financial director of Betons France and director of strategy, public affairs and environment for Lafarge’s operations in France. Early 2013 saw her appointed as managing director of Granulats France.
